Welcome to Beryl Kingston's web site

With the publication of her latest work Beryl bows to the inevitable and discovers the internet.

Herein will be found some clues to her plots, the influences from a rich life, and marriage to 'the darling man
I have now written a trilogy called Octavia, Octavia's War and Simon's Inheritance.

Octavia is the story of an educational pioneer who taught in the '20s when they knew more about how children learn than putative teachers are allowed to know now in these examination ridden times. It was first published in hardback in October 2007 and the paperback came out in October 2008.

Octavia at War follows my heroine's adventures during WW2 when she and her school are evacuated to Woking (see my note on future events).
